Roula Al-Nseir candidate in Acadie

Roula Al-Nseir entered politics to have the chance to defend her beliefs and values politically. She wants to do her part to change things in order to leave a better world for future generations. She decided to join the team of the Green Party of Quebec, as the positions taken by the party represent her own values and identity as a citizen. Roula also joined the GPQ because of the priorities it defends, particularly in terms of defending social justice.

Originally from the Middle East and the mother of three boys, Roula is a certified Canadian immigration consultant. She has also completed her degree in administrative management at a Montreal institution. In addition to having taken several university courses allowing her to acquire diverse experiences, Roula has also been involved in her community. For some time now, she has been a member of the Laval Association for Intellectual Disabilities and Autism Spectrum Disorders (ALEDIA), an organization that offers a service to provide a period of rest and healing to parents who wish to take a break.

In her election campaign, Roula wants to advocate for change on various issues that are important to her.

1- She certainly wants to improve immigration services and increase the annual immigration threshold to give many people the chance to settle in a healthy environment.

2- Roula also wants to provide affordable housing in a green environment to address rising rents and inflation.

3- She also wants to protect the green spaces in her electoral district and set up community gardens to foster community spirit and allow young people to take an interest in this type of project. She also wants to increase the number of Bixi points in the Acadian neighborhoods.

4- Finally, she wants to improve and invest in parks, notably by adding play structures for children in certain neighbourhoods in her electoral district. Finally, Roula would like to advocate for free, or at least lower, public transit fares, following the recent increase in fares in the Montreal area.

In her spare time, Roula enjoys spending time with her sons as well as visiting and discovering Quebec and Canada. For Ms. Al-Nseir, every vote cast on behalf of the Green Party of Quebec demonstrates that our ideas resonate with the public, help us gain a foothold in the public debate, and contribute to the funding of the Green Party through the per-vote grant. For all these reasons (and more), Roula Al-Nseir would be honoured to have your support in the 2022 Quebec general election. Every vote counts!
