Elianor Monyele is a nursing assistant with a passion for the environment and social justice who entered politics at the age of 27 in order to contribute to her community, to inject positive energy into Quebec’s democracy, to share her ideas and to bring about concrete changes in society.

Born in Montreal, Elianor has lived in Ville Émard for almost 16 years. She attended Honoré Mercier High School and currently works in the radiology clinic Groupe Unimage Radiologie of LaSalle. Having contributed to the COVID vaccination campaign Ms. Monyele understands first hand the need to increase the capacity of the health care system while improving the quality of services offered. She is strongly opposed to any privatization of care and advocates for a fully public, efficient and accessible system.

For Elianor, youth development through after-school programs, neighbourhood activities and building vibrant communities are very important issues for her, as is the need to support youth who live in youth centers. In the long term, Ms. Monyele would like to start an orphanage.

Locally, Elianor Monyele would like to improve active and public transportation by increasing the number of bike lanes, increasing the frequency of public transportation and encouraging people to take the leap to public transportation by making it free for everyone. She chose the Green Party because of our progressive platform, our integrity, our eco-socialist ideology and our positive vision for the future of Quebec. She is committed to helping people, moving forward on important issues and building the future of Quebec.

In her spare time, Elianor Monyele enjoys cooking, reading, skating, going to the pool, distributing food to people in need and organizing neighbourhood parties. For Elianor, every vote cast on behalf of the Green Party of Quebec demonstrates that our ideas resonate with the public, help us gain a foothold in the public debate, and contribute to the funding of the Green Party through the per-vote grant. For all these reasons, and more, Ms. Monyele would be honored to have your support in the 2022 Quebec general election.
