Yann Germa entered politics at the age of 29 with the Green Party of Quebec in order to live his dream of contributing to the fight for the environment through politics, a subject he has been passionate about since childhood. He loves talking to people, finding solutions and listening to the population. For almost ten years, he has worked at the Montreal School Service Centre as a mover and shaker to provide youth with classrooms and learning labs to help students reach their full potential. He has lived in Montreal since birth and loves the city.
He chose the Green Party of Quebec for our values, for what the party brings to the public debate and for our bold policy platform that presents a progressive vision for the future of Quebec. He believes that the Green Party of Quebec is the best option for all those who care about the environment because ecology is the foundation of our party, it is our first priority and it is the basis of our social project.
As a frequent user of public transportation in the neighborhood he knows first hand how much the service needs to be improved and the costs reduced in order to encourage more people to take the plunge and abandon their cars. That’s why he supports free public transportation and a major expansion of the network to reduce the number of cars on the road and the pollution they generate.
In his spare time Yann enjoys cycling, nature walks, camping in the Laurentians and gardening. For Yann, every vote cast on behalf of the Green Party of Quebec demonstrates that our ideas resonate with the population, helps us to take our place in the public debate and contributes to the funding of the Green Party through the per-vote subsidy. For all these reasons (and more) it would be an honour to have your support in the 2022 Quebec general election. Every vote counts!
