Had a great time collecting water samples on Beaven Lake this weekend! Our lake association is hard at work monitoring water quality in a number of key tributaries and bays. Last year our tests revealed elevated labels of phosphorous and fecal coliform after heavy rainfall the tributaries that are located near an Elk farm. Visited some of the oldest trees in Canada on Meares island near Tofino, BC earlier today! Some of these trees are almost 2000 years old. In a world where most of the trees have been cut down several times it is incredible that these trees have survived for so long without anyone cutting them down.
