Vincent Aquin-Belleau, candidate in Marie-Victorin

Vincent Aquin-Belleau is a candidate for the profession of construction engineer who has a strong desire to get involved in Quebec politics and make a difference. Curious to understand how decisions are made, he wishes to strengthen his political aspirations and pose sustainable solutions that will lead to an energy transition. Vincent decided to join the Green Party of Quebec, as it is the only party that represents his personal values and prioritizes the importance of taking tangible action for the environment. Seeing this opportunity to get involved in politics, he is running as a candidate in the Marie-Victorin riding for the 2022 elections.

Vincent holds a DEC in building mechanics from the CEGEP de Saint-Hyacinthe and a bachelor’s degree in construction engineering from the École de technologie supérieure (ÉTS). Born in Châteauguay, he now lives in Vieux-Longueuil and works in the construction industry, where he is called upon to work on various large and complex projects in Quebec.

At the local level, Vincent wishes to support the municipalities in his riding in their efforts to move towards greener transportation and to improve the existing infrastructure. He also wishes to integrate an urbanization that emphasizes active and accessible transportation for all. Through his job in construction, Vincent would also like to promote opportunities for green projects in the riding of Marie-Victorin.

More broadly, Vincent would like to put an end to tax evasion, a major scourge in Quebec. He wants to reuse these funds to improve and build greener infrastructures. He is also concerned about major mining projects in the north of the province that should create more royalties for Quebec. He also wants to move towards large investments that support the energy transition.

In his spare time, Vincent enjoys tennis, cycling and golf. For Vincent Aquin-Belleau, every vote cast on behalf of the Green Party of Quebec demonstrates that the Green Party’s orientations resonate with the population, help us take our place in the public debate and contribute to the financing of the party through the public financing system for political parties in Quebec. For all these reasons (and more) it would be an honour to have your support in the 2022 Quebec general election.
