Very happy to announce that I will be travelling to Alberta next week to visit the tar sands with my good friend and ally Raymond Robinson!
Raymond Robinson is a member and elder of the Cross Lake (Cree: Pimicikamāk Nīhithawī) First Nation in northern Manitoba. He is a residential school survivor, a spiritual leader and an outspoken advocate for the many injustices facing First Nation communities. He is best known for his taking part in a 43-day hunger strike during the Idle No More movement beginning in December 2012 along with Attawapiskat Chief Theresa Spence.
