Today it is with great pride that I introduce Catherine Lovatt-Smith, the new Deputy Leader of the Green Party of Quebec!
Catherine is an experienced activist and I am honoured to have her in our party. In the last provincial election, Catherine was the only woman in Quebec to run against Mr. Drainville.
She is currently pursuing a double major in Political Science and Community Public Affairs and Policy Analysis at Concordia University in Montreal.
Her many years of social involvement have included roles in Amnesty International and the 2012 student movement.
I am convinced that Catherine has what it takes to take the Green Party of Quebec to the next level of the Quebec political arena. Her plans for the future of the party are already numerous, and she will be sharing more details with you shortly.
In fact, the Green Party of Quebec plans to present a full team of critics by the end of 2014. Available positions will be announced in the coming months and will be open to all party members through an open nomination process.
Finally, I invite you to come and meet Catherine and the Green Party of Quebec team on June 7th for a vegetarian barbecue to celebrate her nomination. Here are the details: https://www.facebook.com/events/245618528969534/?fref=ts
In solidarity,
Alex Tyrrell
Leader of the Green Party of Quebec
