Sherbrooke police officers are stepping up their patrols in the neighbourhoods where minority groups live to protect them in the face of several Islamophobic acts committed in recent days.

Ms. Marois wants the election to be about the charter. Her Sherbrooke MP explains that there have been no hate crimes inside the national assembly, and that these attacks have nothing to do with the charter debate.

I think Ms. Marois does not understand the consequences of her actions. Minorities are now under increased police protection, and she maintains that she wants to go to an election on the charter.

The Green Party of Quebec is opposed to any measure that seeks to marginalize religious minorities.
